The Solution

Stripping out and replacing all existing window cases, floor finishes and mechanical and electrical works, we introduced new, state-of-the-art architectural fixtures to refresh the space. We cleaned and restored the original marble work, breathing new life into one of the defining elements of this room.

The Challenge

A comprehensive refurbishment of a part of this beautiful 18th Century public museum, we’ve helped safeguard its legacy while making it fit for the future. Many moving parts required careful planning – from new mechanical systems to the restoration of original materials.

The Impact

The gallery is now able to showcase a new narrative for China and South Asia, which will bring the compelling story up to the present day and build on the success of a unique and highly prized collection.
