Project Description
Harley Street, Marylebone
Agenda 21 Architects worked with Forcia to refurbish and develop 139 Harley Street into a modern medical laser eye surgery, with consultation suites and three high specification living quarters. The project involved maintaining and renovating the building with a considerate and conservative approach to the Georgian features of this Grade II listed building.
Modern materials and design were used sympathetically by the architects to compliment the listed features. Restoration using period techniques and technology was carried out throughout the interior, despite the disruption caused by essential structural works. The finished building provides modern medical facilities and living accommodation with full air conditioning, contemporary bathrooms and a new, internal elevator to facilitate disabled access.
